IMPHAL, July 30:
On July 29, a team of CDO Imphal West claim to have arrested five active cadre of KNF (P) organisation from Pather Bazar, Phayeng, Khoyathong Crossing and New Checkon, said a release from Police (PRO).
The arrested have been identified as Lalkhohao Khongsai alias Robin, 23, son of Dongkam Khongsai of Motbung Tongneh Village, Kangpokpi district, David Neihsial alias Hendavida ,35, son of (L) Khama Neihsial of Kolasin Village, Mizoram A/P B. Venom Village, Churachandpur, Nainu Kipjen, 32, son of (L) Paolunlal Kipjen of Leikot Village, Motbung, Kangpokpi district, Thangminlen Haokip alias Lelen, 34, son of Letkhomang Haokip of N. Boljang, Kangpokpi district and Lamgoulin Khongsai alias Gougou Khongsai, 19, son of Seikhomang Khongsai of Loibul Khunou, Kangpokpi district, it said.

One A1 Rifle marked as MA-3 MK II, One HK (Heckler Koch) Rifle marked as HK 33 5.56×45, Two Magazines, 130 nos. of 5.56 ammunition and (v) Six mobile phones were seized, it stated.
Among the arrestee, Thangminlen Haokip and David Neihsia are involved in the killing of oneself styled PRO of KNF(P) organisation namely, Demkhohao Kipjen ,41, on July 22 at Kangchup Chiru Village at 7.30 pm, it further said.
A case has been registered at Lamsang Police Station and investigation is going on, it added.
Meanwhile, a combined team of Imphal East Commandos and 26 AR personnel conducted a search operation in an around B. Gamnom village on July 27 during which a huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered.
The search operation was conducted following reports of suspected armed cadres of KNF (N) outfit, who are suspected to be involved in a cold-blooded murder case, being present in the area. Although the armed cadres managed to escape, the joint team were able to find and recovered which included: (i) One Ak-46 rifle marked as KOO153 loaded with 9 rounds of magazine; (ii) One Lathode gun marked as 25026 with 4 live shells; (iii) 47 nos. of AK-47 rifle ammunition; and (iv) One un-exploded Lathode shell. They were found buried underneath the earth at a farm belonging to Henkhothang Kipgen, 71, son of (late) Hemjangam Kipgen of B. Gamnom village; however, no one was arrested, it said.

A case has been registered at Thoubal Dam-PS and investigations are going on.
The release further stated that a unit of Thoubal District commandos arrested a member of KCP (KK Nganba) from Thoubal Wangmataba during a search operation conducted in an around Thoubal Bazar on July 29.
The arrested individual has been identified as Ningombam Arunkumar alias Arun, 47, Son of (late) N. Modu Singh of Ningombam Bazar. He is supposed to hold the rank of captain in the outfit; and a case has been registered against him at Thoubal-Dam PS for further investigations, the release added.
